Teachnique Thursday Chat is Back!

Summer's almost over and school has started, so it's time for TNT fans at Digi by Design to get back to work learning about designing scrap pages and kits. Teachnique Thursday chat will resume tomorrow, September 4 at 2:00 pm EST with a really great lesson--Using Fonts and Dingbats in Designing. You can download my tutorial pack here. The pack includes a list of Free Font links, and several fonts used in the tutorial. I hope you'll join us for all new tutorials and discussions on designing. We will take a vote tomorrow on whether or not we want to resume collaborative kits as we have done before.

This week's featured kit is Boys Only, a nostalgic look at boys' summer activities before the days of computers and game systems. It will be on sale tomorrow only at 50% off and we just might have an add-on bonus for our chat attendees. You have to come to chat to find out. Here are previews for your viewing pleasure:

Remember that if you buy Parts 1-4, you get part 5 free.

I had a special request for an Italian kit; thus evolved Sunny Italy, a mini kit with 10 papers and 18 elements. I used red, green, and white, the colors of the Italian flag and it turned out so cute that I decided to offer it to you as a freebie. Here is a preview:

There are 2 zips--you can download them Here and Here.

Have a great day and I hope to see you tomorrow at 2:00 pm EST at Digi by Design for Teachnique Thursday chat.

Bad Blogger, but I'm back with a goody for ya

No excuses--just have been too busy designing and playing on Pogo to post to my blog. I am so happy that school is starting again Monday, that I spent the day today making my Blog friends a Fall Freebie--and it's Commercial Use OK too!!

This Fall Designers' Pack includes 4 paper overlays, 2 buttons, 1 bow, and 1 lacy maple leaf branch. I hope you have as much fun using them as I did making them. When you do use them, credit would be greatly appreciated, but is not required. Here's a preview of your gift:

And here is your Download Link. Papers are only to show what you can do with these overlays and are not included. (I relinked and it worked when I tested it--let me know if there are more problems.)

Enjoy.

Lots of news--and a freebie

Mid-Month Madness is a quarterly event at Digi By Design. We designers all make special kits to put in the store for $.98 each. This month there are dozens of CU products as well as some darling mini kits.

TJ and I each made you a freebie. Mine matches Oak Leaf 93

Here is the freebie:

TJ's freebie matches Oak Leaf 97:

And here is her freebie:

We have just uploaded dozens of CU products at Divine Digital. We're having fun building that store and participating in the DAD this month. Be sure to check it out.

On the home front, we're having a very quiet week since Stuart is at a Band Symposium at Western Carolina University. No ringing phones, no loud guitar music wafting through the house; it's almost too quiet. Oh well--that will end soon enough and we'll be back to normal.

Have a great week.

Late but not empty-handed

I'm not gonna talk very much today; I'd probably depress you. Anyway, TJ and I have a new kit and freebies for the 4th of July. Our kit, Yankee Doodle has some unique designs; I don't think you'll find another patriotic quite like it.

And here are your coordinating cluster elements:

Be sure to visit Digi by Design this week-end where our store is 40% off along with several other stores.

Studio Style Designs also has a store-wide sale.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday week-end.

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day--a bittersweet holiday for me. My daddy's been gone almost six years now and I still miss him so very much. He was a very special father who gave of himself over and over through the years. He loved my mother and each of his three girls with all his heart and gave us a foundation that would see us through many trials and triumphs in life.

I scrapped this tribute to him a few months ago and would like to share it with you now.

On the up side, my husband, Carter is a very special father too. He loves his three children and would do anything he could to make life good for them. Not many men would agree to a second family after his kids are grown. Yet he and Stuart are very close and love to be together. I just realized that I don't have a picture of him with all his kids--I'll have to remedy that.

Happy Father's Day to those special men that I love dearly.

And Happy Father's Day to you! TJ and I put together a little freebie for you--If you go to her blog, you'll find the other half of the kit. Have fun scrapping your Father's Day layout.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
